Safe environment information

The safety of our children is the responsibility of every Christian. Anyone aware of the abuse of a person under the age of eighteen is required by law to report this to the proper state authorities: local law enforcement Sheriff: (270) 237-3210 or the Kentucky Child Abuse Hotline (toll-free: 1-877- KYSAFE1; 1-877-597-2331).  To report abuse to the diocese, current or past, by anyone acting in the name of the Church, call Scott Ingram, Pastoral Assistance Coordinator (English) at 270-852-8380 or Miguel Quintanilla, Pastoral Assistance Coordinators (Spanish) at 270-880-8360.  You may also visit the Office of Safe Environment (owensborodiocese.org/safe) for more information.  To make a report of sexual abuse of a minor and related misconduct by bishops, go to ReportBishopAbuse.org or call 1-800-276-1562. (https://owensborodiocese.org/safe/).

National Eucharistic Revival

They devoted themselves to the teachings of the Apostles, the communal life, the breaking of bread and prayer (Acts 2:42).

During the National Eucharistic Revival, our parish will be hosting Acts 2:42 Groups.

These small faith-sharing groups will share a time of prayer and fellowship as they learn and reflect on a message from Bishop Medley.

Welcome to Christ the King Church

Christ the King Catholic Church in Scottsville, KY, is a small community in the heart of the Bible belt.  We are located in South/Central Kentucky about an hour north of Nashville, TN.

We began as a Glenmary Mission church but we are now an Owensboro, KY Diocesan parish.  As we look to the future, we see much to be hopeful for in our parish community. The seeds planted long ago by Fr. Berthiaume have taken root and continue to grow.

Click on the "Our History" link and you can read all about our humble beginnings.

Our current Pastor, Fr. Tom Buckman, is also the pastor at St. Mary’s Parish in Franklin, KY

Pray With Us!

Prayer is a pillar of the Catholic faith, something each Catholic must make a central focus of their lives. Like all healthy relationships communication is of upmost importance, and through prayer we communicate with God

We are a praying community. Both private prayer and communal prayer are important to us. One of our favorite prayers is the Peace Prayer of St. Francis.
